QUOTES

On the drive home some friends were discussing what the perfect quote for one of us would be...so here it is...the dreaded quotes page...quotes i love, things that remind of something...happy or sad...right or wrong...these are the ones i love that i can think of off the top of my head...

"I know, its the damndest thing, nobody does" - an older but still cool Cary Grant's response to being told "you don't look like cary grant"

the rest may or may not be credited to their authors or given backstory

"Carpe...carpe diem....sieze the day, boys. Make your lives extraordianary"
"The truth is Helen of Troy!"
"time doesn't heal all wounds, it just offers replacements"
"Fuck the damn dolphins" "...a guy tried that once, he got kicked out of sea world for life"
"freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose"
"isn't there a kitten stuck up a tree somewhere?"
"there's a song that they sing when they take to the highway, a song that they sing when they take to the sea, a song that they sing of their home in the sky. Maybe you can believe it if it helps you to sleep, singing works just fine for me"
"now you could study shakespeare and be quite elite, you could charm the critics and have nuthin to eat, just slip on a banana peel, the world's at your feet, make 'em laugh, make 'em laugh, make 'em laugh"
"you make me complete...you make me complete...you make me completely miserable"

***more*** i just thought you could use a break
"she has trouble acting normal when she's nervous"
"so you're gonna build it in east st. louis...What, was beirut taken?"
"my hopes are so high taht your kiss might kill me, so won't you kill me, so i die happy. my heart is yours to fill or burst, to break or bury, or wear as jewelry, whichever you prefer"
"god, sometimes you just don't come through. do you need a woman to look after you?"
"people do it everyday, and you're a people so you can do it, too"
"its just sugar, it washes out, everything does, baby"
"imagine you're a girl just tryin' to come clean, knowing full well they'd prefer you were dirty and smiling"
"i feel just like a local god when i'm with the boys. we do what we want, yea we do what we want."
"come, death, and welcome. Juliet wills it so"
"you writer, YOU LIAR"
"i am an opera singer, i stand on painted tape. it tells me where i'm going and where to throw my cape"

**a few more**
"you have to promise not to fall in love with me"
"i like pleasure spiked with pain (and music is my aeroplane)"
"and wherefore art thou, romeo? where have all the brave men gone? show me one man who knows his own heart, to him i shall belong"
"i have been a fool for lesser things"

***more later, for those of you who want to attempt it, you can try to figure out where any one, or as many as you can, whatev', is from,i'd be really impressed/think you were intensley kool...either way, it's (this post)a start"

"I tend to be rather fond of "I try not to think of the future; it comes son enough" If you can tell me who said that I would worship you."

That has always been one of my favorite Einstein quotes.
